Turtle Nest Survey at Richardsons Lagoon

We will be carrying a survey of the area around Richardsons Lagoon in order to map the turtle nesting sites. This information will provided to the North Central CMA for their planned fox control program scheduled to coincide with next years nesting season.

Our accommodation will be at Cockatoo Island farm, see map below, a working farm where we have found many nests in the past.

There is a limited numbers of beds so you may need to supply your own bed and you will need to supply your own bedding. This is not a property that is normally rented and whilst very nice is not set up for people to stay. 

We normally share food and cooking duties, so bring or buy what you would like to eat and be ready to work together at meal times. 

 

You do not need to commit to the whole time we are there you are welcome to come for anything from a single day, weekend what ever time you can give will be most appreciated.
